The University of Cambridge is constructing a new Physics Building, known as the Cavendish III Laboratory, on the West Cambridge campus. J+W were appointed project architect following competition in 2015. The building will accommodate 900 of the highest calibre staff and students, providing world class facilities with exemplary technical performance in office, laboratory, library, and lecture space.

I worked closely with the project’s board director designing the scheme’s elevational treatment, before further developing that treatment with the greater team, coordinating with external consultants to do so. I then assisted with the project’s internal design, taking ownership of key spaces within the project, such as the Library, Common Room, Board Room and circulation spine, known as the Street.
