Chiltern Academy is a new build superblock school with integrated sports hall for 1200 pupils on a vacant plot near Luton Airport. The site has significant constraints with imposing overhead powerlines and a primary sewer running across the site, resulting in strict no-build zones, dictating an unusual staggered plan on the east. J+W were appointed project architect following a 6 week competitive design process with one other architect.

As part of a team of two I took the project from concept design to tender submission for the competition. I played an integral role in designing the building layout throughout the competitive process, generating drawings, imagery, and an animation for weekly client presentations.
