LA 2100

Dale Jones-Evans Architecture

Sydney | Australia | 2012

In the future Los Angeles, when the car is no longer king and vast expanses of freeways are left futile, this scheme utilizes space between the iconic sweeping freeway interchanges and the surfaces of the roads themselves.

The interchanges become nodes, home to super skyscrapers housing thousands of apartments, plus shopping, office, leisure, health et cetera; small cities in each tower.

The structures grow out of the available space between the winding roads at the interchange points, the towers twist and meander, a continuation of the great roads the rise from.
